Speakers

Snorri Ogata – Chief Information Officer

Snorri Ogata is responsible for overall information technology efforts in support of 580 judicial officers, 4,500 employees, and 42 locations.  He joined the court as CIO in January 2014.  Most recently, Mr. Ogata was the CIO for the Orange County (California) Superior Court and has over 30 years of IT experience in a variety of industries.  He is an active member for Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC) for the Judicial Council of California and the Court Information Technology Officer Consortium (CITOC) and is the current chair of the California Court CIO group.

 

Nancy Bullock – Director Civil Operations

Nancy Bullock oversees all non-judicial aspects of civil filings, processes, practices, policies, and procedures with regard to civil clerical office and civil courtroom functions for all 12 judicial districts in Los Angeles County, and operations for all litigation types in Region 3, which includes the Central, South, South Central, Southwest and West Districts.

Anaruth Gonzalez – Director Family/Probate/Mental Health Operations

Anaruth Gonzalez has over 20 years of court experience and has worked for Los Angeles Superior Court for the past three years.  Ms. Gonzalez was previously the unit manager of the Family Law and Juvenile Court at the Superior Court of California, County of Orange.  Most recently, Ms. Gonzalez assisted with the deployment of E-filing for the Probate unit in Los Angeles Superior Court and will assist with the family law deployment.

 

This 90-minute presentation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Pacific with Q&A for the final 30 minutes.

The annual National Docketing Association conference was held in New Orleans this year www.nationaldocketing.org As the premier event of the year for the docketing professional community, the conference draws top firms and talent from around the country. The conference is equally focused on Litigation and IP, and there are separate tracks for each.

The focus is on building professionalism, and there is a lot of emphasis on best practices sharing. Some of the key topics were Big Data, quality control, and nextgen CM/ECF. Our head of Sales, Dan O’ Day presented our NOLA (Next Outstanding Legal Application) and emphasized ALN’s heavy customer-focus. In addition, the key note speaker, Peter Marksteiner, Circuit Executive and Clerk of the Court for the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, gave a humorous and engaging presentation on “Overload in the Digital Age.”

Of course, there was also time for everyone to connect and enjoy New Orleans. Enjoy our little show of some great memories at NDA. Until next year in Denver!
